Zum Muttertag

Meine Freundin - eine großartige, sehr intelligente und warmherzige Frau, die ihre vielversprechende wissenschaftliche Karriere aufgegeben hat, um mit geistig behinderten Kindern zu arbeiten - erinnerte mich gestern an ein Lied, das ich früher auch immer sehr gerne hörte, wenn es mal im Autoradio lief.

Ebenfalls gestern erreichte mich die Nachricht einer anderen Freundin - auch sie eine großartige, sehr intelligente und warmherzige Frau: Sie gibt ihre Position in einer multinationalen Software-Firma in Redmond auf, "to spend more time volunteering for great causes around the world" . Über die Region ihrer ersten Station in Rwanda / Grenzgebiet Kongo hatte ich erst wenige Tage zuvor einen aufwühlenden Artikel gelesen.

Zum Muttertag für alle Hexenkinder, Kindersoldaten, geistig behinderten Kinder, deren Mütter, Deine Kinder, meine Kinder und meine Freundinnen:
